Cambridge GaN Devices to Speak at Upcoming Electronics Asia Conference
GaN technology stands out in providing highest power density and efficiency for data centers
Cambridge GaN Devices (CGD) will speak at "Track 1: Internet of Things (IoT), Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Embedded Systems" at the Electronics Asia Conference (EAC) 2023 which is hosted by EE Times on October 17-19. EAC is a virtual event which puts spotlight on the latest trends and technology innovations which drive the state-of-the-art developments and applications in sectors including Internet of Things (IoT), Artificial Intelligence (AI), Embedded Systems, Industrial Automation and Smart Manufacturing.
The global IoT market is rapidly growing due to the availability of high-speed connectivity, expanding uses of big data processing and rising cloud adoption, which drives the demand for data centers. In the meantime, one can witness that an increasing number of adoption of AI technology in connected applications and devices. All these trends are poised to double the electricity consumption of data centers in the next decade. It is estimated the electricity consumption of data centers will increase from 400 TWh in 2018 to 974 TWh in 2030. As data centers expand to meet the demand, the call for power efficiency intensifies. During the talk, Allan Fredereiksen, Vice President of Research and Development, will discuss about why GaN technology stands out in providing highest power density and efficiency for data centers.
How Can GaN Fulfill Data Centers' Demand for Efficiency
